We keep it simple and focus on our guests.

Dezaiko Lodge is one of British Columbia’s original full-service backcountry ski touring lodges. We have a 40+ year legacy of offering warm hospitality, great food, competent guiding and exceptional skiing.

We cater to smaller groups (8 max) than most other backcountry lodges and our ski terrain is easily accessed right from our front door.

Dezaiko’s philosophy, Keep it small, keep it simple, and focus on the guests is at the center of our legacy. We welcome you to join us.

Unplug and relax

Dezaiko Lodge Bedroom

We significantly expanded and renovated Dezaiko Lodge to improve guest comfort in 2021 while keeping the original spirit of the lodge intact.

The lodge now features 4 small, 2-person private bedrooms upstairs. We also have a few single beds in an open sleeping loft. All bedding, including down duvets, is provided.

Downstairs is a comfortable place to relax and socialize. Electricity is available to charge your camera battery or phone.

We take guest comfort seriously. Our meals are hearty, nutritious and professionally prepared. Hors d’ouvres are served to guests when they return to the lodge from skiing or snowshoeing. Our drying room provides the perfect spot to dry pants, jackets and boot. Cleaning up in our wet sauna is a refreshing way to end the day.

Welcome to the family

Dezaiko Lodge is a family owned business. Logan Cox, Bryce Cox and Tisha McGregor at the lodge.

Your hosts Bryce Cox and Tisha McGregor were born and raised in Prince George, BC. Their son Logan is now a student at UBC.

Bryce brings more than 20 years of ski guiding experience to Dezaiko Lodge, guiding backcountry ski touring groups and working as a cat-skiing and heli-skiing guide.

He spends his summers swinging a hammer and has his own contracting company that has kept him busy with projects all over British Columbia. When not working, Bryce climbs, rides, paddles and hikes in the Rockies.

Tisha handles lodge administration including guest relations and booking, financial administration, hiring cooks, planning menus and the myriad other logistics associated with running the business. For years she ran two successful B&Bs in the historic gold mining town of Baskerville, BC.

Named after Mount Logan, Canada’s highest peak (5,959 m), Logan Cox is an avid skier, enjoying both nordic skiing and alpine touring. He is an accomplished biathlete and was a member of the Prospects Team of the Para Nordic Canada National Ski Team. He is currently majoring in engineering at UBC.

Dezaiko Lodge is a backcountry skiing destination with deep snow.
